Terence Stamp no va donar el consentiment d’aparèixer a la portada un cop els Smiths ja havien distribït el single, van haver de retirar els singles del mercat i els van distribïr novament amb un muntatge de la mateixa imatge però en aquest cas Morrissey era qui apareixia en el lloc de Terence Stamp. Al cap d’un temps The Smiths van obtenir el permís de Terence Stamp i el va tornar a publicar amb la portada original.
